ALTとのティーム・ティーチングのポイント２つ！
メイン・サブを決める
活動をメインで進める先生と、サブで参加する先生を決めましょう。
例えば、クイズゲームをする場合は、日本人教師がルール説明をして、ALTが問題を考え出題することが考えられます。
互いの役割が明確になることで、ALTもJETも安心して授業に臨めます。
ALTの得意を活かす
ALTの先生の中には、英語や教育について、大学で重点的に学んでいた方もいます。また、興味を持っている分野であれば、意欲的に指導してもらえます。
例えば、音声学を学んでいたALTにフォニックスを指導してもらう、米国で教員免許を持っている先生にアカデミック・ライティングの指導をしてもらうことが考えられます。
ALTとのオススメ活動１２選！
Simon Says with ALT
サイモン セッズ は、英語を聞いて身体を動かす、簡単で楽しいゲームです。
ALTの先生が、命令文を使って児童生徒全員に指示を出します。児童生徒は、ALTの先生が Simon Says… といった時だけ、指示に従います。
ALT: Simon says touch your head.
児童: （自分の頭を触る）
ALT: Touch your ear.
児童:（なにもしない）
For ALTs: ”Simon says” is an easy-fun EFL game for young learners. ALT gives instructions to students using imperative sentences. Students follow them only when you say “Simon says”. For example, if you say “Simon says touch your head”, your students are supposed to touch their heads; however, if you say “touch your ear”, they shouldn’t do anything.
Criss-Cross with ALT
クリス・クロスは、ALTの質問に児童生徒が答える形式のゲームです。
② 質問に答えたい児童生徒が挙手します。
③ 質問に正しく答えられたら、縦か横のラインを選択します。
④ 選択されたラインの生徒は着席します。
For ALTs: Criss-Cross is an activity in which ALT asks questions and students answer. Procedure: (1) Have all of your students stand up. (2) Students who want to answer raise their hands. (3) Let a student choose a vertical or a horizontal line if she/he answered correctly. (4) Students who belong to the chosen line will have a seat.
Phonics＆Pronunciation（発音とフォニックス）
フォニックスは、発音とスペリングの関係性に関する学習です。
例えば、A は April のように エイ /eɪ/ とも発音されますが、apple のように ア /æ/ とも発音されます。
発音とスペリングの関係性がわかると、英単語の読み書きを覚えるのが楽になります。
ALTがフォニックスを初めて学習する場合は、こちらの動画が参考になります。
For ALTs: Phonics is a way of teaching children how to read and write. For example, “A” is pronounced as /eɪ/ as in April, but also it is pronounced as /æ/ as in apple. This is quite confusing to non-native speakers. If this is your first time teaching phonics, the video above may help you understand more in-depth.
Categorise me!（カテゴライズ・ミー）
ALTが、母国の著名人を紹介します。生徒には、有名人、スポーツ選手、政治家などのカテゴリーを渡します。
ALTの説明を聞いて、生徒は人物をカテゴリーに分類します。異文化理解にもつながる活動です。
For ALTs: ALT explains some famous people in their home country. Give students categories of people such as celebrities, sports players, politicians, etc. Students listen to the ALT’s explanation and categorise the people. This might help students see some cultural differences.
Flashcards
英単語と意味（イラスト）の書かれたフラッシュカードを用意し、ALTの先生が発音、生徒がリピートします。実物のフラッシュカードの代わりに、パワーポイントを使うのがオススメです。
ALTと日本人教師のどちらが指導語彙を決めるのか、どちらがフラッシュカードを作るのか決めておきましょう。
For ALTs: Prepare flashcards or PowerPoint slides that show the target words and their meanings in Japanese or pictures. ALT reads the words on the flashcards, and students repeat them. Discuss who selects the target words and who prepares the flashcards.
73 Questions to ALT（ALTに７３の質問）
73 Questions は、ファッション誌VOGUEが、著名人に73の質問をする企画です。
あらかじめ生徒に質問を準備させ、ALTに答えてもらいましょう。
For ALTs: 73 Questions is an activity in that students ask questions to an ALT just like the fashion magazine VOGUE does to celebrities. Have students prepare the questions before the class.
Conversation Practice in pairs（ペアでの会話練習）
ペアでの会話練習に、ALTに参加してもらう方法です。一定時間でペアを変え、できるだけ多くの生徒がALTと話せるようにするのがおすすめです。
For ALTs: ALT joins pair work and engages in conversations with students. Rotate students in order for more students to talk with you.
Your Day in Emojis in pairs/groups（絵文字での１日 — ペアもしくはグループで）
生徒が、週末の出来事などについて話します。ALTは生徒の話を聞いて、その時の生徒の気持ちにもっとも合う絵文字を描くか、選びます。
ペアワークとしてもできますし、グループでもできます。ALTの順番を待っている間は、生徒同士で取り組めます。
For ALTs: Students talk about their day(s) such as their weekend. ALT listens to students’ story and draw or choose an Emoji icon that best represents students’ feelings of the day. This can be done in pairs or groups. While waiting to talk with an ALT, students can do the same activity with other students.
Speaking test
ALTの先生に、スピーキングテストを実施してもらいます。出題の形式や問題、評価方法など、事前に協議しておきましょう。
一問一答から英検のようなインタビュー形式、タスクやロールプレイまで可能性は無限大です。授業でのトレーニング成果を発揮させる場としてオススメです。
For ALTs: ALT gives a speaking test that provides an opportunity with students to demonstrate their learning in class. Discuss the test style, questions, and grading. The test can be a simple question-answer, an interview test such as the Eiken test, task and role play.
Listen & Retell
ALTが短い話を聞かせます。生徒は、話を聞いて、自分の言葉で、同じ内容をペアの生徒に伝えます。
For ALTs: ALT tells a short story. Students listen to the story and paraphrase it in pairs.
Which is more polite?（丁寧なのはどちら？）
依頼や謝罪、感謝、招待、提案など、テーマを決めます。生徒は、テーマに沿って、表現を書き出します。
表現が出揃ったら、グループに分かれて、丁寧さが高い順に並べます。最後に、ALTの先生の意見を聞きます。異文化理解力も育てられる活動です。
For ALTs: Choose a topic such as a request, apology, gratitude, invitation, suggestion/advice. Students write down the expressions that go along with the topic. Then, make some groups of students and have them put the expressions in order of politeness. In the end, ALT provides his/her opinion. Not only English proficiency, but this activity can also raise students’ intercultural awareness.
Say NO, but politely（断ってください、でも丁寧に）
ペアをつくり、一方が食事や買い物などに誘います。もう一方が、相手の気を悪くしないよう丁寧に断ります。
最終的に、いくつかのペアに発表してもらい、もっとも丁寧に断れた人をALTに選んでもらいます。
英語力だけでなく、異文化理解力も求められる実践的な活動です。
For ALTs: One of the students in pairs invites the other student for eating, shopping, etc. The other student must decline the invitation, but politely. After the pair work, some pairs demonstrate their conversation in class. ALT chooses the best speaker who turned down the offer without hurting others’ feelings. This activity requires both language ability and intercultural communication skills.
